METZESCHMELZ DISTRICT - CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN & IMPLEMENTATION ACCOMPANIMENT
Development and consultation on the concept of participation - Metzeschmelz quarter.
First we developed the participation concept and are now responsible for monitoring its implementation.
The participation concept is to lay the foundation for a consistent, serious and transparent participation process for the development of the Metzeschmelz district in Esch-sur-Alzette and Schifflange. The transfer of the land of the former industrial plant Metzeschmelz from ArcelorMittal to AGORA marks a new stage in the development of the area. An important part of this stage will be a long-term participation process for the public and stakeholders.
Agora sàrl manages the development of the Metzeschmelz site
On 23 October 2020, the Luxembourg State, ArcelorMittal and the municipalities of Esch-sur-Alzette and Schifflange officially decided to transform the former industrial site of Esch-Schifflange into a new urban district and entrusted Agora with this task.
